Jobseekers employment centres to start operations on Jan. 5
MUSCAT HE Hamad Bin Khamis Al Amri, Undersecretary at the Ministry of Manpower for Labour Affairs, said the jobseekers employment centres will start the work on January 5 at seven direct employment centres set up by the ministry in a number of governorates in the Sultanate.

Al Amri said that since the issue of the Royal Directives to employ 20,000 jobseekers in establishments and private sectors, the ministry has started coordination with various companies and establishments to follow-up the available job opportunities.

He said the ministry has prepared a programme to follow-up the mechanism of employing 20,000 jobseekers in the private sector in different governorates of the Sultanate through the employment centres. He added that working teams were formed to ensure that the employment process run according to the plan.

He said there is a team to coordinate between the Ministry of Manpower and the Public Authority for Manpower Registry (PAMR) as the available job opportunities in the private sector to be referred to PAMR according to the discipline, wage and job place.

He added that there are three more teams in each centre to approve the date of the interview and another team to conduct the interview as the candidates will be received at these centres for the interview, pointing out that all procedures being run during the interview will be documented immediately after the interview.
