| 40.56m-rial tenders get approval from Board |
MUSCAT The Tender Board on Monday awarded projects worth 40.56 million rials at its 34th meeting for 2012 held under the chairmanship of HE Dr Rasheed Bin Al Safi Al Huraibi, Chairman of the Tender Board.
The Board awarded the following projects:
• Construction of two power plants (400/220 KV) in Sur and Jahlout (34,947,586 rials) .
• Renewing the operation contract for the ferry boats (3,659,145 rials).
• Construction of the main building for Mazoon Electricity Company (1,637,863 rials).
• Management of web and knowledge content for the Small and
Medium Enterprises Development Symposium (117,800 rials).
• Additional works for the provision of security and safety services
for Oman Gas Comp-
any’s installations (165,420 rials).
• Additional works for the construction of water networks in Al Khadhra Al Jadeedah in Al Buraimi Governorate (29,508 rials).
The meeting also opened bids for a number of development and service projects:
• Construction of exhibition center, car parks and service building at Oman International Exhibitions and Conventions Centre (second package).
• Construction of 18 classroom at the basic education school at Hail Ashour in the Wilayat of Al Hamra in the Al Dakhiliyah Governorate.
• Construction of administrative building and accessories at Salalah Free Zone Company.
• Construction of flood protection dam at Wadi Al Khoudh in the Wilayat of Al Seeb in Muscat Governorate.
• Supply, installation and testing of diesel engine for the power plant in Hejj in the Wilayat of Mahout in Al Wusta Governorate.
