GCC condemns Bahrain terror attack
MANAMA The GCC Ministerial Council on Wednesday condemned the terrorist attack in Manama on November 5, which claimed two lives and wounded many.

The council extended its condolences to the Bahrain leadership, the people of the country and families of the deceased and wished the survivors a speedy recovery.

The council also renewed its full support to the Kingdom of Bahrain and its people in their efforts to preserve national unity, security and protection of people’s lives and property.

It condemned all kinds of terrorist activities and affirmed that the security of Bahrain is integral to the security of the GCC member countries.

The council also hailed handling of the situation by security agencies of the kingdom and called for a unified effort to combat terror in the region.

The 125th session of the GCC Ministerial Council was held under the chairmanship of Bahrain’s Foreign Minister Sheikh Khalid Bin Ahmed Al Khalifa in Manama on Wednesday.

HE Yousuf Bin Alawi Bin Abdullah, Minister Responsible for Foreign Affairs, led the Sultanate’s delegation to the meeting.

The council reviewed the strategic partnership with Morocco and Jordan, as well as the issue of occupation of three UAE Islands by Iran, Syrian conflict, the situation in Yemen and the developments in Palestine and Iraq.
