Oman elected to bureau of Arab Transport Ministers’ Council
ALEXANDRIA The Arab Transport Ministers’ Council elected the Sultanate as a member of the Executive Bureau of the Council.

The 25th session of the Arab Transport Ministers’ Council, chaired by Saudi Arabia, concluded on Wednesday at the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport in Alexandria, Egypt.

The Sultanate’s delegation was headed by HE Salim Bin Mohammed Al Nu’aimi, Undersecretary at the Transport and Communications Ministry for Transport.

The council elected eight new members for the Executive Bureau of the Arab Transport Ministers’ Council, including the Sultanate, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Algeria and the Troika of three summits — Qatar, Libya and Iraq.

The council agreed to hold its 26th regular session in Iraq on October 22 next year.

The meeting adopted a resolution submitted by Jordan for an extraordinary meeting of the Arab Transport Ministers’ Council in Amman on June 12 and 13, 2013.
