Board awards 21m-rial tenders
MUSCAT The Tender Board on Wednesday awarded projects worth 21.08 million rials at its 28th meeting for 2012 held under the chairmanship of HE Dr Rasheed Bin Al Safi Al Huraibi, Chairman of the Tender Board.  

The Board awarded the following projects:  

n Infrastructure and internal road works for Oman International Convention and Exhibition Centre – fifth phase, part 1 (10,819,194 rials).  

n Construction of 97 houses, a mosque, a Majlis and public utilities in Al Awabi village in the Wilayat of Bausher in the Governorate of Muscat (6,794,685 rials).  

n Provision of consultancy services for the study and supervision of a project to extend the borders of the continental shelf (1,700,950 rials).  

n Provision of maintenance services for a number of Kava Dental System equipment at a number of health institutions (115,152 rials).  

n Additional works for Umm Al Ghawarif dual-carriageway project in Salalah city (1,323,564 rials).  

n Additional works for the provision of the design and supervision of Bidbid-Sur dual-carriageway project - second part (245,000 rials).  

n Additional works for the maintenance of ferries of the National Ferries Company and two boats for the Coast Guard (77,385 rials).  

The Tender Board also opened bids for a number of developmental projects and services, the most important of which is the construction of recharge dam in Wadi Kalboh in the Wilayat of Nizwa in the Governorate of Al Dakhiliyah, Mahadha Al Rawdha dual-carriageway project in the Governorate of Al Buraimi, construction of fishing harbour in the Wilayat of Liwa in the Governorate of North Al Batinah, construction of a market in the Wilayat of Saham in the Governorate of North Al Batinah, construction of water distribution networks in the Wilayat of Khasab and the nearby villages in the Governorate of Musandam.
