Judgments made against 11 accused
MUSCAT The Muscat Primary Court on Wednesday issued judgments against 11 accused in the demonstration case.

Those sentenced to one-year imprisonment after being convicted of crowding with the intention of creating riot and disrupting traffic movement are:

Said Bin Sultan Bin Ali Bin Al Hashmi, born in the Wilayat of Sur in 1976 and working as Director of Media at the State Council;

Basmah Bint Mubarak Bin Said Al Kyoumiyah, born in Bahrain in 1984 and working as legal adviser;

Basimah Bint Sulaiman Bin Saleh Al Rajhiyah, born in the UAE in 1977 and working as Administrative Affairs Researcher at the Employees Care Department at the Education Ministry (she was also convicted of insult of employees);

Nasser Bin Saleh Bin Khamis Al Ghailani, born in the Wilayat of Sur in 1973 and working as a Publication and Media Consultant at the Information Technology Authority;

Abdullah Bin Mohammed Bin Abdullah Al Ghailani, born in the Wilayat of Sur in 1975 and working as air traffic controller at Muscat International Airport;

Badr Bin Nasser Bin Ali Al Jabri, born in the Wilayat of Nakhl in 1979 and a member of studies and follow-up at the office of the Director-General of Information Technology at the Ministry of Education;

Khalid Bin Saleh Bin Abdullah Al Nofali, born in the Wilayat of Sohar in 1981 and working as engineer in Sohar Municipality;

Mahmoud Bin Hamad Bin Thani Al Rawahi, born in the Wilayat of Sumail in 1977 and a teacher of Arabic language at the Education Ministry;

Mukhtar Bin Mohammed Bin Saif Al Hinai, born in the Wilayat of Nizwa in 1987 and a technical supervisor in
Al Zaman newspaper;

Mohammed Bin Khalifa Bin Salim Al Fazari, born in the Wilayat of Sohar in 1988 and an SQU student;

Mahmoud Bin Mohammed Bin Nasser Al Jamoudi, born in the Wilayat of Nizwa in 1974 and a senior health supervisor at the Health Ministry;   

The Muscat Primary Court also issued its judgment on negative and inciting writings against accused Osama Bin Hamad Bin Khalfan Al Twaya. Al Twaya, born in the Wilayat of Muttrah in 1992 and a student at the College of Higher Technology in Al Khuwair, was sentenced to one-year imprisonment and a fine of 1,000 rials after being convicted of slander and violation of the Information Technology Law.
