| Qaranqashow to be marked on Friday |
MUSCAT The Department of Information and External Relations of Muscat Municipality will on Friday organise a Qaranqashow at 7:30pm at Al Qurum Natural Garden.
The event, celebrated annually on the 14th of the Holy Month of Ramadan, will include cultural programmes for children, talent contests, face painting, acrobatics and poetry sessions. Awards and souvenirs will be distributed to participating children.
Al Naseem Public Garden will mark Qaranqashow at 8:00pm on Friday.
There will be activities for children, besides colouring and face and hand painting.
The annual event involves children gathering in groups and going to houses in their neighbourhood.
They keep knocking on the doors until people open the doors and greet them with hands full of sweets and snacks.
