Ezz Islamic Bank launches logo, to float IPO by Sept.
MUSCAT Ezz Islamic Bank, one of the licensed Islamic banks in the Sultanate, on Monday unveiled its brand identity, marking the launch of a banking institution to provide Sharia-compliant banking solutions for individual and corporate customers.

HH Sayyid Taimour Bin As’sad Bin Tariq Al Said, who patronised over the launching ceremony, said that the launch of the brand identity of the Ezz Islamic Bank came in a bid to meet the growing demand for Islamic banking products and services in the Sultanate and contribute to the economic growth.

He added that Ezz Islamic Bank is expected to offer its shares for public subscription at the end of September 2012 after getting the approval of the Capital Market Authority (CMA).

Abdullah Bin Salim Al Salmi, CEO of CMA, said that any new company or issue is an added value to the capital market as it increases the capitalisation of the market, liquidity and deepens MSM, which in turn will contribute to the growth of the national economy.

He added Ezz Islamic Bank will serve a large number of individuals and corporates and will seek to attract capitals that used to look for this type of investments.

The brand identity of Ezz Islamic Bank focuses on the logo “Pure Banking for Pure Life”. The logo reflects the bank philosophy and its commitment to provide elite banking services. The bank inspired its identity from the pure values promoted by the Islamic Sharia.

The bank carries the meaning of propensity and welfare. The logo, inspired by the Islamic geometrical shapes, reflects the deep values of the bank. The silver and blue colours add modern touch that symbolises the resources and technologies of modern banking. The round calligraphy at the middle of the logo symbolises the pivotal role of the bank in the lives of individuals. The radiating arches coming out of the centre of the logo symbolises the bank’s commitment to meet needs of the society and its compliance with its values.

The launching ceremony, which was held at Al Bustan Palace Hotel, was attended by Yahya Bin Said Al Jabri, Chairman of the Special Economic Zone Authority at Al Duqm (SEZAA), HE Khalil Bin Abdullah Al Khonji, Chairman of OCCI and a number of board members, bank executives and representative of the founding members of Ezz Islamic Bank.
