| Shopping, fireworks display woo visitors to Salalah fest |
MUSCAT The Salalah Tourism Festival venue at the Municipality Recreational Centre ground witnessed huge crowds.
People thronged the shopping tent and the games city, as families and youth turned out to enjoy activities at the festival on Thursday and Friday.
A fireworks display lit up the sky with beautiful formations on Thursday, attracting people of different ages.
The Wilayat of Thumrait presented activities as part of the heritage competition. It showcased the wilayat’s features and the ancient link between the Omani man and his environment. The wilayat also showcased its heritage and traditional arts besides its craft industries.
A large number of people visited the Omani Women Associations’ Exhibition at the Municipality Recreational Centre. The expo showcases Omani products and crafts made by Omani women. The visitors to the exhibition bought Bakhour and Loban and other traditional items.
