| Seminar in Salalah focuses on family |
SALALAH A seminar titled ‘Family Coherence: Reality and Challenges’ began here on Saturday, under the patronage of HE Sayyid Mohammed Bin Sultan Al Busaidi, Minister of State and Governor of Dhofar.
HE Mohammed Bin Said Al Kalbani, Social Development Minister, was also present at the opening ceremony at Crowne Plaza Salalah.
The three-day event is organised by the Social Development Ministry, represented by the Directorate-General of Social Development in the Governorate of Dhofar.
Speakers from the Sultanate and other GCC countries will discuss the importance of family coherence. They will also discuss violence and child abuse.
The Basic Law of the State affirms that the family is the base of society and that the law protects and strengthens families, said Abdullah Bin Sulaiman Al Suba’ie, Director-General of Social Development in the Governorate of Dhofar.
The seminar will conclude under the patronage of HE Sheikh Khalid Bin Omar Al Marhoun, Civil Service Minister.
