| Prices of kingfish, gaithar and sahwa go up |
MUSCAT The statistics of the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries on the prices of fish in the local markets showed a rise in the prices of some varieties such as kingfish, gaithar and sahwa and decline in the prices of other varieties such as shaari, dhal’a, sal and ashkhali.
The highest price of kingfish per kilo was 3.900 rials in the Wilayat of Barka market in Al Batinah South Governorate while the lowest price was 2 rials per kilo in the market of the Niyabat of Sinaw.
The highest price of one kilo of Gaithar fish sold was 3.300 rials in the Wilayat of Barka market while the lowest price was 2.100 rials in the Wilayat of Rustaq market. The price of one kilo of Sahwa fish was sold at 2.100 rials in the Wilayat of Rustaq while at 1 rial in the Wilayat of Nizwa.
The highest price of one kilo of Shaari fish was 1.900 rials in the Wilayat of Sohar while the lowest price was 1 rial in the Wilayat of Nizwa.
