Hasani meets Bulgarian media official
MUSCAT HE Dr Abdulmunim Bin Mansour Al Hasani, Information Minister, received Maxim Minchev, Director-General for the Bulgarian News Agency (BTA), on Monday.

During the meeting, cordial conversations were exchanged. The meeting also discussed bilateral relations and ways of enhancing fields of exchanging news, information, photos and reports.  

The meeting was attended by HE Said Bin Khalfan Al Harthy, Adviser at the Information Ministry for Media Affairs and Zamzam Bint Sulaiman Al Rashdiyah, ONA Director General and Editor-in-Chief.

Meanwhile, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed at the Information Ministry between ONA and BTA in the presence of Abdulmunim. The MoU is related to enhancing cooperation in the fields of news, photos, exchanging expertise and training between the two sides.

The MoU was signed on behalf of ONA by Zamzam while it was signed on behalf of BTA by Maxim Minchev.

Maxim Minchev said this MoU is the beginning of cooperation between the two sides as it will pave the way for the two institutions to promote their bilateral relations in the media fields, particularly in the areas of exchanging news, photos, enhancing skills and expertise between the two sides. He commended the progress being witnessed by the Sultanate in various fields.

On the sidelines of his visit, Maxim Minchev paid a visit to the premises of Oman News Agency (ONA) during which he familiarised himself with the nature of work at ONA and its departments. He commended the technological progress in the field of broadcasting news and the efforts being exerted to upgrade various services rendered by ONA.
