| SQH workshop focuses on effective management |
SALALAH The Sultan Qaboos Hospital (SQH) in Salalah organised a health workshop, titled ‘Effective Management, the Essence of Effective and Organised Performance’.
Forty heads of medical departments at the hospital took part in the workshop held at Hamdan Plaza Hotel under the patronage of Dr Ahmed Bin Al Hady Bin Ali, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Sultan Qaboos Hospital.
Abdullah Bin Ahmed Al Rubai’ee, Dean of Oman Specialised Nursing Institute, spoke about management problems in health institutions and the importance of developing modern concepts to solve them.
Ahmed Al Sa’eedi, Nursing Services Officer at Ibri Hospital, spoke on the culture of organised performance at health institutions.
Jenifer R., lecturer at Oman Specialised Nursing Institute, highlighted the importance of communication in the work environment to strengthen relations among heads of medical departments and patients.
The workshop aimed to create understanding of legal and moral aspects in management and leadership in health units and to understand the importance of strategic planning based on mutual relations between the leadership and nurses.
