| Omani-Tunisian Cultural Activities begin in Tunis |

TUNIS The Omani-Tunisian Cultural Activities were inaugurated on Monday in the Tunisian capital Tunis. The activities are organised by Omani Society for Writers and Scholars in cooperation with Unesco City Club as a part of dialogue between cultures and cultural cooperation between the Arabs and supporting of cultural interaction between peoples.
The ceremony was opened by the Tunisian minister of culture and the Sultanate’s ambassador to Tun-is. The ceremony began with the Omani-Tunisian Books and Photos Exhibition.
Writer Hayat Al Raies in her address highlighted the cultural interaction between the Sultanate and Tunisia and the importance of this gathering for the Omani and Tunisian scholars. She stressed the significant and impressive participation of the Omani writer as well his cultural diversity.
Rasheed Bin Salama Ra’es, Chairman of the Unesco Club, expressed his happiness over the Omani participation in these cultural activities. He praised the role played by these activities for the rapprochement between the Omani and Tunisian writers.
A video presentation about the Sultanate was screened in cooperation with the Ministry of Information. The presentation reflected distinguished cultural and social aspects of the Sultanate as well as the development aspects witnessed by the Sultanate over the last 40 years.
