| Shura panel discusses transfer of Omani teaching staff |
MUSCAT The Education and Culture Committee at the Shura Council on Monday held a meeting under the chair of HE Khalid Bin Hilal Al Nabhani, head of the committee.
During the meeting, the Committee hosted Khalfan Bin Mohammed Al Ghaithi, Director-General of Administrative Affairs at the Ministry of Education, and officials at the ministry.
The meeting included a presentation on the ministerial decision No. 165/2012 related to organising the basis for movements of the teaching staff and allied jobs for Omanis, the e-correction for the answer sheets of the first semester of the general diploma.
The officials at the Education Ministry said the Ministry designed the approved movement programme based on transparency in procedures and being limited to a certain period of time. The system sorts out the applications based on rules and regulations in force in the ministry.
The officials pointed out that the movements are studied by the committees at the ministry and the educational directorates at the governorates to look into the foreign and domestic movements. Decisions are made by the Committee when the applications meet the requirements stipulated at the decision.
Many queries were raised on many educational topics at the Sultanate’s governorates.
The meeting stressed the importance of such meetings and that the Education and Culture Committee would draft some visions to ensure coordination between the Shura Council and the Education Ministry.
