MSM slips over belt-tightening steps
The budget proposals to fine-tune the economy to face the headwinds arising from the projected drop in oil revenues left the Muscat Securities Market (MSM) jittery on Tuesday. On Monday, HE Darwish Bin Ismail Al Balushi, Minister Responsible for Financial Affairs, in his address to the Shura Council said the high expenditure and the decline in oil revenues have made it difficult to continue the expansionary financial policy. more...
